Bloomstack’s 3rd Anniversary – Cheers to Growth!

Bloomstack is now 3 years old! 3 years of providing bespoke solutions for legal cannabis companies. 3 years of working hard to streamline business operations for our clients. 3 years of building our team and growing our family.
On July 20, 2018, Bloomstack had started small, strong nevertheless, with a clear vision to modernize the way the cannabis industry operated. It’s really been a roller coaster ride, but we had (and still have ?) a lot of fun innovating and developing Bloomstack bit by bit!
The Seed That Sprouted a Zealous Seedling ?
It was around 2017, Eric Delisle and Felipe Orellana were running a company called DigiThinkIt that provided digital strategy solutions to businesses in the US. One of their clients — JH Audio — was facing the issue of using multiple business operation software that complicated work instead of simplifying it. Eric implemented a straightforward ERP solution for them that helped streamline their processes smoothly.
In the same year, Eric’s best friend Matthew came up with a challenge for him to help another friend with a similar solution as JH Audio. The challenge was that this was supposed to be for a legal cannabis farming business. After intense research, Eric found no software that catered to the end-to-end requirements of cannabis operators; and intrigued by the rapidly growing landscape of the cannabis industry, he decided to build a suitable all-in-one suite for them.
Thus, in 2018, Bloomstack’s foundations were laid by Eric, Felipe, and Matthew, along with a small team of equally driven professionals. From then, it has been a gradual, step-by-perfect step journey to today where Bloomstack stands at a growing team of 35 talented employees, diligently helping our clients achieve their business goals.
A Short Chronicle of The Past Year
There’s no magic to achievement. It’s really about hard work, choices, and persistence.
Slowly and steadily, Bloomstack has come into its own, and the last year has been very interesting. Our brilliant techies and coders have been coming up with amazing initiatives to make the product even more efficient. The company’s leadership has been encouraging even the smallest of contributions to establish a culture of blooming creativity and out-of-the-box thinking.
Early in 2021, we established on-site customer support for Bloomstack Upgrades and greatly improved our client response and service delivery.
A very significant development was the deployment of BloomTrace, It is Bloomstack’s very own track-&-trace feature that tracks the movement of cannabis and cannabis products through the supply chain. ? This makes our clients compliant with the laws pertaining to the cannabis industry; above all, by using only one, comprehensive software that takes care of their business operations.
We’ve successfully built the component of Statement of Accounts that can be fully integrated with emails. This sends out reports to the customer in just a single click. Bloomstack is the only all-in-one suite for the legal cannabis companies in the market with this super-convenient feature, so we’re really ecstatic about achieving this! ?
Bloomstack now automatically calculates the Average Days to Pay, which is a comprehensive report to easily recognize and distinguish between early paying and late-paying customers without the process of checking each account individually. It saves a lot of time, and as everyone knows, time is money.
With many such big and small updates, we’re committed to ensuring that we offer solutions to client issues, thereby making their lives easier with Bloomstack.
Every Day is Employee Appreciation Day
You don’t build a business – you build people – and then they build the business.
The one thing Eric Delisle, our CEO & Founder, has always stressed on is the happiness of Bloomstack’s people. Over time, people working at the company have become more experienced and learned to handle their work better. Bloomstack flourishes upon the existence of its people, and that is why it conducts an array of team-building activities to help the employees bond and relax, even during the pandemic.
Last year, we had a massive upgrade in terms of team and skillset at Bloomstack, and we amped our team-building campaigns to ensure that every member of the Bloomstack family gets involved.
The restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic have compelled everyone to work from home. So we had a virtual celebration of events where just seeing everyone’s happy faces was a great feeling in itself. ?
We have been actively participating in a #makerchallenge that has everyone put their thinking caps on to come up with an inspired, artistic, theme-related creation every week. Have a look at some of the amazing responses the team had sent in! ??
Laughter Sessions with some really gifted humorists from the team have had us all in splits, and they’re the perfect way to end the work week on a Friday evening. Plus, the recently introduced “No Meeting Friday” has also proven to be a great productivity booster.
And, the monthly Townhall events have been promoting teamwork and collaboration, employee engagement, and organizational alignment, all in a really entertaining way. Last month’s session had everyone scrambling to put up their “happy place” pictures on the team’s collage board, chattering excitedly on the side.
Here’s to Making Great Strides Together
So, to sum up, this has been a great year for us, and we’re already pumped up to make the next one even grander. We will all rise if we work well together. For now, the anniversary celebrations on 20th July are keeping us going because at Bloomstack, we love celebrations!
